ABOUT MATTHEW HOEDT

Move With Clarity and Confidence

Matthew Hoedt Headshot

ABOUT ME

I’m Matthew Hoedt, a Scottsdale Arizona-based real estate advisor with over 15 years of experience helping people relocate, buy, and sell with clarity and confidence. I work closely with individuals and families from all walks of life, including many relocating from progressive urban areas in search of a lifestyle that feels aligned and welcoming. As a committed industry leader and advocate who listens first and puts relationships before the sale, I bring both experience and integrity to every step of the process.

I came to real estate after nearly 20 years in Colorado’s corporate world, looking for a way to do meaningful work that combined my love of architecture, exploration, and people. Over the past 15 years, I’ve helped hundreds of clients move forward — literally and figuratively — through thoughtful, client-first real estate service in and around Scottsdale, Arizona.

Most of my clients are navigating change: relocating for lifestyle, planning for retirement, buying a second home, or rightsizing into a new chapter. Many are moving from out of state — especially from cities in California, Washington, Oregon, Texas and Florida — and are looking for clear, respectful guidance through unfamiliar terrain. Some are part of the LGBTQ+ community; others simply want to work with someone who sees them, respects them, and puts their interests first. I take that responsibility seriously.

I hold advanced certifications including CRS, CIPS, CLHMS, and C2EX, and bring both local insight and a global perspective to my work. But what matters most to my clients isn’t the alphabet soup after my name — it’s how I treat them. Calm communication, deep listening, and no-pressure advice are what I’ve become known for.

In addition to working directly with clients, I’ve held leadership roles at the local, state, and national levels — serving on professional standards panels, global business councils, and DEI-focused committees. I’m currently the Arizona Chapter President of the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance and a graduate of the WeSERV Leadership Class of 2020. These experiences reflect my ongoing commitment to professionalism, fairness, and helping to shape a real estate industry that works for everyone.

Originally from New England and raised abroad in an international business family, I’ve called Arizona home since 2005. I understand firsthand what it means to relocate and start fresh — and I love helping others do the same, whether they’re moving across the country or just across town.

As a solo agent, I stay personally involved at every step. My clients don’t get passed off to assistants; they get thoughtful, one-on-one service with a clear focus on what matters most to them.

Outside of work, my husband and I enjoy live music, local festivals, home cooking, and exploring the energy and creativity that make Scottsdale such a unique place to live. If you’re seeking a real estate advisor who brings experience, empathy, and clarity to the process — I’d be honored to help you on your journey.
