INTERNATIONAL REAL ESTATE
If you'd like to buy international real estate in another country, or are a foreign national looking for property in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area, you've come to the right place! We have the training, global network, and expert resources to make your experience seamless and stress-free.
International transactions are more complex than domestic ones, and real estate laws vary greatly from one country to another. Some require training and licensing while others have no rules at all. Then there are issues with currency exchange, financing, visas and tax laws. Working with an agent who understands these differences can make or break a global real estate transaction.
Sellers may be interested to know that Arizona is one of the top destinations in the US for foreign buyers. Therefore, we advertise all of our listings through ListHub Global which provides exposure on over 80 international search sites in 60 countries.
The National Association of REALTORS® maintains formal relationships with 94 associations in 73 countries around the world. Each member holds the REALTOR® title and must abide by NAR’s strict Code of Ethics. We can be confident we're working with partners who will conduct real estate professionally and ethically.
The Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) program takes this even further. CIPS designees receive in-depth training in cross-cultural relationships, regional market conditions, and currency, exchange rate, and tax issues.
Once certified, they join a network of over 4,400 CIPS REALTORS® in 50+ countries. This ensures clients receive the same level of service and expertise no matter where they buy international real estate.
Matthew Hoedt was born into a global business family, living and traveling the world from a young age. He brought that experience into his business by earning his CIPS designation in 2016 and joining the Global Business Council.
Global Business Councils
Global Business Councils are groups within local REALTOR® associations that deliver globally themed education and multi-cultural special events to their members. The council also collaborates with globally-minded businesses to build awareness of the opportunities that surround them.
Over 130 Global Business Councils exist at state and local associations across the country. Arizona’s original and largest council is at the 23,000 member West and SouthEast REALTORS® of the Valley (WeSERV, formerly SEVRAR) where Matthew Hoedt served as 2019 Chairman and 2018 Vice Chairman.
